This is a framed lithograph type print by famous artist W.L. Taylor. This is the artist's interpretation of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem "Hanging of the Crane", circa 1898. Taylor drew illustrations for the Ladies Home Journal , which included a series of illustrations for Longfellow's poems.
In 1899, the Journal published his illustrations of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poems.
Frame is unique: appears to be like tiger wood, or similar but unable to determine.

Purchased originally from 'Blue Chicken Antiques' from their shop in Chemainus.
Lovingly cared for, and regrettably for sale, due to downsizing.
